The harpsichord does not strike a string — it plucks it. Six centuries of that single, particular sound.

My story

Anna Huszczo

As a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a singer. Back then, I believed that music was the most beautiful language through which one could tell the story of the world. Everything changed when, at the age of sixteen, I encountered the harpsichord and discovered early music. It was a life-changing moment. I knew, almost instantly, that this was the path I was meant to follow.

It was not an easy journey, nor one paved with roses. There were moments of doubt, difficult decisions, sacrifices, and countless hours of hard work. Over time, I came to understand that talent is only the beginning; what truly determines how far we go is perseverance, courage, and strength of character.

Once, I heard a phrase that has stayed with me ever since: “It is your character that keeps you going.” Today, I know how true those words are. It is character that allows us to rise after failure, to remain faithful to our dreams, and to take one more step forward each day.

I believe that dreams are worth pursuing. But even more than that, I believe that dreams come with responsibility. They ask us to be brave enough to follow them, to work tirelessly, and never to give up. This is more than my motto — it is the way I strive to live, to create, and to share music with others.

After graduating from the Academy of Music in Kraków, my musical journey was far from over — it was only just beginning. I continued to deepen my knowledge through postgraduate studies and numerous masterclasses devoted to the interpretation of both early and contemporary music. Every encounter with distinguished teachers and performers strengthened my belief that music is a lifelong journey of discovery and growth.

Over time, my fascination expanded beyond the harpsichord to include the historical piano and the clavichord. My passion for historical instruments and their unique sound led me to complete postgraduate studies in Historical Piano Performance at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.

Alongside my concert career, I developed a deep commitment to teaching, working as a piano and harpsichord teacher as well as an accompanist. I still remember how nervous I was before my very first lessons. Yet, over the years, teaching became one of the greatest joys of my life. I came to love not only the profession itself but, above all, the students I had the privilege to work with. I truly believe that inspiring a love of music, awakening curiosity, and encouraging young people to discover their own artistic voice is the greatest reward a teacher can receive.

Throughout my journey, I have also been fortunate to meet many extraordinary musicians and remarkable people whose kindness, generosity, and friendship have shaped both my professional and personal life. I remain deeply grateful for every rehearsal, every concert, every inspiring conversation, and every collaboration we have shared over the years. It is the people we meet who give meaning to our journey.

Beyond music, I have a passion for travelling and discovering the culinary traditions of different cultures. For me, there is no greater combination than music and travel — both invite us to explore, broaden our horizons, and connect with people through shared experiences. Every concert is a new journey, and every journey becomes a source of artistic inspiration.

This is who I am. I warmly invite you to join me in my world — a world of music, history, travel, and the endless pursuit of beauty.
